More details on Local Media can be found in the guide <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.contents.com\/magazine\/platform-tutorial\/how-local-media-works-in-contents\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">how local media works.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 800;\">What is a Global Media<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Global media<\/b> is a multimedia asset, currently in image format, created using any of the Art tools (Text to Image, Image to Image, Upscale Image, Art Composer. For more details, see the guide <b>How to generate images with AI Art<\/b>). This type of media exists within the workspace and can be inserted into any project at any time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 600;\">Differences Between Local and Global Media<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s important to note that Global Media is stored at the workspace level and created using Contents\u2019 AI Art generation tools. Local Media, instead, is tied strictly to the project it is inserted into and is never saved to the global library unless the user explicitly chooses to do so using the available function.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 800;\">Where to Access the Global Media Library<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Global Library can be accessed from two locations:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By clicking the \u201cLibrary\u201d page from the side navigation bar in the Dashboard, then selecting the \u201cMedia\u201d tab.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By clicking the button <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-38056\" src=\"https:\/\/www.contents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image4-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"115\" height=\"36\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.contents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image4-1.png 332w, https:\/\/www.contents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image4-1-300x94.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 115px) 100vw, 115px\" \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> inside a project, then clicking the arrow next to the \u201cLocal Media Library\u201d panel name to open a menu that allows you to switch views.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-38247\" src=\"https:\/\/www.contents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/libreria-globale-contents-AI.jpeg\" alt=\"libreria globale contents AI\" width=\"1999\" height=\"879\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.contents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/libreria-globale-contents-AI.jpeg 1999w, https:\/\/www.contents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/libreria-globale-contents-AI-300x132.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.contents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/libreria-globale-contents-AI-1024x450.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/www.contents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/libreria-globale-contents-AI-768x338.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.contents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/libreria-globale-contents-AI-1536x675.jpeg 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1999px) 100vw, 1999px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When the Global Library is opened inside a project, you can access and insert into the document any media created with AI Art within the workspace.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 800;\">How to Interact with the Global Media Library<\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 600;\">Insert a Global Media into a Project<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To insert global media into a project:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click the button <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-38056\" src=\"https:\/\/www.contents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image4-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"115\" height=\"36\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.contents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image4-1.png 332w, https:\/\/www.contents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image4-1-300x94.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 115px) 100vw, 115px\" \/>;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Switch the view from Local Media Library to Global Media Library. All media assets in the workspace will then be displayed;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click the button <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-38233\" src=\"https:\/\/www.contents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image5-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"36\" height=\"36\" \/> that appears when hovering over the desired media.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The global media will be duplicated and inserted into the local media library of the project. More details on how the local library works can be found in the guide <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.contents.com\/magazine\/platform-tutorial\/how-local-media-works-in-contents\/\"><b>How local media works.<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 600;\">Download Global Media to Your Device<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are two ways to download global media to your device.<\/span><b><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Via the global library inside a project<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: once the library panel is opened and the view set to \u201cGlobal Library\u201d, click the button <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-38049\" src=\"https:\/\/www.contents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"37\" height=\"37\" \/> that appears when hovering over the desired media.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Via the platform\u2019s \u201cLibrary\u201d section<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: once on the platform\u2019s \u201cLibrary\u201d page and the \u201cMedia\u201d view is selected:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to download a single media item, click the button <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-38049\" src=\"https:\/\/www.contents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"37\" height=\"37\" \/> that appears when hovering over the desired media;<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to download multiple media items at once, click the button <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-38240\" src=\"https:\/\/www.contents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image3-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"69\" height=\"36\" \/> next to the \u201cAll media\u201d title.
